This is a photograph from the 1800's showing good detail about the bridge etc.

quite a bit more, showing fascinating details.
On the left appears to be a gas light for the bridgeway illumination although many were
converted to electricity later on.
Electrical wires are strung on the pole proving that this was the late 1800's after the advent of electricity for
New Bedford and Fairhaven.
