Well isn't that a great picture? This showsthat the current huge marine park boat dock facility was not there in 1900. You can see the Yacht Club on the right side of the bridge just after the main turnstile. Nye Lubricants had a laboratory facility on the island on the left after the turnstile part of the bridge. The roadbed is not paved. This is the view is looking toward Fairhaven. There is a trolley car and several horses and buggies on the roadway.
