The 1830 list of streets and the years they were defined in New Bedford, Ma.
At the annual Town meeting of 1830,
the boundaries of streets and roads were fixed.
Monuments level with the ground and made of granite were placed.
They were marked with drill holes or cross cut
to mark the center of the intersection.
